decongestant combination products like Claritin-D or Zyrtec-D (the D stands for decongestant).

Do I Need to See a Doctor?
No. Usually one of the over-the-counter remedies will do the trick. Exception: You should see a doctor to rule out other (than allergy) conditions such as nasal polyps or septal deviation if you have chronic nasal congestion that does not respond to over-the-counter treatment.
