LEVI'S PRODUCT WITH ROOTS
The original jeans brand celebrates its heritage with a \'new\' vintage range
As founder Mr Strauss is oft credited with inventing jeans (and filed a patent on using rivets back in 1873), Levi\'s is a brand with more authentic roots than most. Now the company is celebrating its heritage with the Levi\'s Product With Roots range, which takes its inspiration from the Levi\'s Vintage line that denim obsessives so love. The new collection sees the return of the zip-fly 505, which launched in 1967 and quickly became de rigeur on the New York rock\'n\'roll scene - the \"Snuff Out\" wash even features a snuff box pocket in homage to the hedonistic Sixties youths (how times have changed). Modern-day trendies, meanwhile, will doubtless welcome the return of the 1947 501 Shrink-To-Fit jean, enabling them to achieve genuine circulation-cutting tightness. Other highlights include the fleece-lined Sherpa denim jacket and complementing Western-style check shirts.
