The Incredible Hulk
Who: Edward Norton calm, angry, repeat, Liv Tyler loving, Tim Roth psychotic, William Hurt in charge, Robert Downey Jr. cool
Background: Aside from its fine comic heritage, 2008’s The Incredible Hulk has no ties to Ang Lee’s 2003 effort Hulk. Which is A Good Thing. Instead, director Louis Leterrier has cleverly sidestepped Lee’s brooding shots of, er, moss to produce a unexpected verdant treat. A smart opening title sequence establishes Edward Norton as the new Bruce Banner in much the same way that Christopher Nolan did with Christian Bale in Batman Begins. And that is a fair comparison, because The Incredible Hulk is great. Not Batman great, but it’s certainly saved the Hulk from ending up in the superhero retirement home alongside Elektra, Ghost Rider and Spider-Man circa three.
The story: After ‘Hulking up’ by testing his gamma raygun thing, and nearly killing his girlfriend Betty Tyler, Dr Banner Norton goes on the run from Betty’s dad, Gen. Thaddeus Thunderbolt Ross Hurt. Gen. ...
Strawberries
The fragrantly sweet juiciness and deep red color of strawberries can brighten up both the taste and aesthetics of any meal; it is no wonder they are the most popular berry fruit in the world. Although strawberries have become increasingly available year-round, they are at the peak of their season from April through July when they are the most delicious and most abundant.
While there are more than 600 varieties of strawberries that differ in flavor, size and texture, one can usually identify a strawberry by its red flesh that has yellow seeds piercing its surface, and the small, regal, green leafy cap and stem that adorn its crown. In addition to strawberries that are cultivated, there are also varieties that grow wild. These are much smaller in size, but feature a more intense flavor.

Brady recovered from Super Bowl loss, ankle injury
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady joked on Saturday about the lingering effects of his ankle injury from late last season.
“The ankle feels great and I’ve been able to do pretty much everything that I normally do, the NFLs Most Valuable Player told Patriots.com following the second day of the three-day mandatory minicamp.
I’m still slow, I can’t jump and I don’t lift very much. That hasn’t changed,” he said with a smile.
Brady, who turns 31 in August, first injured his ankle against San Diego in the AFC Championship Game. News of the injury broke when he was first photographed in New York wearing a protective boot two weeks before the Super Bowl.

Cranberries
A cousin of the blueberry, this very tart, bright red berry can still be found growing wild as a shrub, but when cultivated, is grown on low trailing vines in great sandy bogs. The American cranberry, the variety most cultivated in the northern United States and southern Canada, produces a larger berry than the wild cranberry or the European variety.
Cranberries have long been valued for their ability to help prevent and treat urinary tract infections. Now, recent studies suggest that this native American berry may also promote gastrointestinal and oral health, prevent the formation of kidney stones, lower LDL and raise HDL good cholesterol, aid in recovery from stroke, and even help prevent cancer.
Fresh cranberries, which contain the highest levels of beneficial nutrients, are at their peak from October through December, just in time to add their festive hue, tart tangy flavor and numerous health protective effects to your holiday meals. When cranberries short fresh season is ...

Brown rice
In some parts of the world, the word to eat literally means to eat rice. All varieties of rice are available throughout the year, supplying as much as half of the daily calories for half of the worlds population.
The process that produces brown rice removes only the outermost layer, the hull, of the rice kernel and is the least damaging to its nutritional value. The complete milling and polishing that converts brown rice into white rice destroys 67% of the vitamin B3, 80% of the vitamin B1, 90% of the vitamin B6, half of the manganese, half of the phosphorus, 60% of the iron, and all of the dietary fiber and essential fatty acids. Fully milled and polished white rice is required to be enriched with vitamins B1, B3 and iron.

Hemp Oil
Hemp seed and oil has been called Nature’s Perfect Food for Humanity - a wealth of health for everyone.
The oil can be used as part of a nutritional programme to maintain and improve good health. With a pleasant nutty flavour, Hemp Seed Oil is ideal for use in salad dressings, mayonnaise, dips etc. It is not suitable for frying as this reduces the benefits.
Hemp has had a long-standing relationship with humanity; modern science reveals that it contains all the essential amino acids and essential fatty acids necessary for human life, as well as a rare protein known as globule edestins that is very similar to the globulin found in human blood plasma.
Four years after the Marijuana Tax Act passed in the US, a researcher writing for a 1941 edition of Science lamented the loss of access to the hemp seeds rare and important globule edistins; Passage of the Marijuana Law of 1937 has placed restrictions upon trade in hempseed that, in effect, amount to prohibition....”

Drink Yourself Skinny
No calorie counting, no carb watching. For half a century, meal-replacement shakes have been a no-brainer way to drop pounds. Why? They work
For Rob Nager, the epiphany occurred at Abercrombie & Fitch. He was picking through a stack of cargo pants and asked a clerk if they were available in a 42-inch waist. Dude, the kid sneered, we don make pants that big.
Nager, 38, faced a choice. He could ask the little weasel to step outside, or he could do something about his 250-pound frame. He opted for peace and a new waistline.
He tried Weight Watchers, then Atkins. Both plans helped him slim down, but the flab always returned. Finally, Nager tried a weight-loss strategy thats been around since TVs were black-and-white; a strategy so old-school that one of the studies showing that it works went on for a decade. His throwback approach: meal-replacement beverages MRs, in the weight-loss world. Nager just said no to solid food. Instead, he quaffed shakes in place of meals, eventually ...
Papaya
Deliciously sweet with musky undertones and a soft, butter-like consistency, it is no wonder the papaya was reputably called the fruit of the angels by Christopher Columbus. Once considered quite exotic, they can now be found in markets throughout the year. Although there is a slight seasonal peak in early summer and fall, papaya trees produce fruit year round.
Papayas are spherical or pear-shaped fruits that can be as long as 20 inches. The ones commonly found in the market usually average about 7 inches and weigh about one pound. Their flesh is a rich orange color with either yellow or pink hues. Inside the inner cavity of the fruit are black, round seeds encased in a gelatinous-like substance. Papayas seeds are edible, although their peppery flavor is somewhat bitter. The fruit, as well as the other parts of the papaya tree, contain papain, an enzyme that helps digest proteins. This enzyme is especially concentrated in the fruit when it is unripe. Papain is extracted to make ...
Tough times reward smart thinking and sticking to a Plan
I have a strange affinity for remembering every recession this country has had since I could read. It probably wasn due to my quirky preoccupation with the news, but more so with how strongly each recession affected our family.
So, as a kid I made a passionate pledge to ensure that in the future my own family wouldn suffer so stingingly from market turbulence. Theres something to be said for keeping past economies—and family financials—in mind when managing your money.
Here are a few lessons from the rear-view mirror of history to keep you steady despite the markets Patagonia-like peaks and valleys:
The markets gonna do what the markets gonna do. Its one thing to watch the Dow gyrate up and down every day, but why torture yourself by regularly sneaking peeks at your investment portfolio? Its like picking at a scab.

Lemon/Limes
Although lemons and limes may not be what you would choose for an afternoon snack, we consider them as powerhouses when we want to bring out the flavor of other foods. While both are available throughout the year, lemons are in the peak of their season around May, June and August while limes are at their peak from May through October.
Lemons are oval in shape and feature a yellow, texturized outer peel. Like other citrus fruits, their inner flesh is encased in eight to ten segments.
Usually smaller than lemons, limes are oval or round in shape having a diameter of one to two inches with green flesh and skin. They can be either sour or sweet depending on the variety; however, sweet limes are not readily available in the United States. Sour limes contain citric acid giving them an acidic and tart taste, while sweet limes while lack citric acid and are sweeter in flavor.

The 20 Unhealthiest Drinks in America
Americans have a drinking problem, and not the type you might think. As the authors of the best-selling book Eat This, Not That!, David Zinczenko and co-author Matt Goulding get e-mails all the time from readers who claim they eat carefully, they work out consistently, but they still can get the needle on the scale to budge. What gives? goes the collective, exasperated refrain from the stagnant dieter.
What most people don know is that the biggest roadblock between you and the body you want isn found at the end of a fork, but at the bottom of a glass. As a country we take in 21 percent of our daily calories from beverages and, according to the FDA, the average American takes in 82 grams of added sugars every day. Thats 20 teaspoons, which contribute an empty 317 calories to our already calorie-saturated diets.
Sure, some of that comes from soda, but even if youve traded regular Coke for diet, whole milk coffee drinks for low-fat lattes, and you barely touch the booze, you could ...

Indiana Jones 4
Who? Harrison Ford old, Shia LaBeouf greasy, Karen Allen mumsy, Cate Blanchett bobbed, Ray Winstone Ray Winstoney
Background: Close to twenty years, it took. Nearly two full decades, apparently, to perfect a script. To gather its peerless troupe of main players, to synchronise impossibly busy schedules and to hone a suitably astonishing final chapter to one of the greatest film franchises ever. Then 79 filming days to commit a genuine world cinematic event to celluloid: the fourth Indiana Jones movie. And what do we get? We’ll tell you. CGI gophers with surprised expressions, that’s what. Infantile, clunking dialogue. Green-screen sub-XBox action sequences. Elderly people kissing. The only human being ever to survive a nuclear detonation at point-blank range. Later, CGI monkeys with expressions. And your worst nightmares confirmed – aliens and flying saucers. Yes, it’s worse than you could possibly comprehend. A more stultifying disappointment, arguably, than The Phantom Menace. ...
Apples
The warm scent and flavor of baking apples is a sure sign that fall is just around the corner. In the Northern Hemisphere apples are in season from late summer to early winter. However, many varieties are available year round because they have been either kept in cold storage or imported from the Southern Hemisphere.
Apples are crisp, white-fleshed fruits with red, yellow or green skin. They range in taste from moderately sweet and refreshing to pleasantly tart depending on the variety. The apple is a member of the rose family, with a compartmentalized core that classifies it as a pome fruit.
