RINGING EARS
What May Be Causing It?
Sometimes ringing in the ears can be Eustachian tube dysfunction related to allergy, but often it\'s caused by something else, such as a viral infection or other types of ear problems.
How Can I Get Some Relief?
If you have ringing in the ears that lasts just a day or 2, try over-the-counter allergy medications. If ringing lasts longer than 1 or 2 days, or if over-the-counter allergy medicines don\'t help, see a doctor.
Do I Need to See a Doctor?
Yes. Persistent ringing in the ears should be checked by an ear, nose, and throat specialist, also called an ENT or otolaryngologist.
